Silverjack Subdivision was originally a cattle ranch owned by Clyde and Pearl Freeman.  After Clyde's death, Pearl and their son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dona, subdivided the ranch into 38 5-acre lots.  Fifty years later, Silverjack is a wonderful mountain community with friendly residents and a few critters.
